Iran slams Sweden’s anti-HR measures against Iranian citizen

Gharibabadi said that Noori was trapped in 2018 in Stockholm airport under the pretext of a complaint case filed based on unfounded allegations.

The Swedish attorney asked the court to issue Noori’s arrest warrant without adequate and comprehensive investigation, leading to violation of the presumption of innocence principle and the right to freedom of movement in relation to the aforementioned, Gharibabadi added.

He also said that Noori was kept in solitary confinement for 21 months from his arrest until the investigations were over which proves that his arrest was arbitrary and without documented proof.

The Iranian official accused Sweden of violating the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and failing to inform Iran of the arrest.

Swedish official have refused to let Noori’s family meet him, although they have travelled the country twice, according to Gharibabadi who also added that Swedish official have deprived Noori of access to medical treatment.

Noori has also been humiliated and tortured by Swedish officials and has been undress in front of the female agents against his own desire, Iran’s human rights official noted.

Gharibabadi also firmly criticized Sweden’s support of terrorist groups like Alahwaziah and the MEK, saying that Sweden has turned into a command center of anti-Iran terrorism in Europe.
